Psychological assessments at EduTesting provide a range of assessments tailored for children and adolescents.

A comprehensive assessment offers several benefits even if a formal diagnosis is not made:
Our services include assessments for:
A cognitive assessment, also referred to as an intelligence (IQ) assessment, evaluates an individual's information processing capabilities and can identify areas of cognitive strength or weakness.
Specific learning disorders (SLDs) are neurodevelopmental conditions marked by ongoing difficulties in reading, written expression, and/or math, commonly known as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia.

Every assessment begins with a personalised consultation for parents of children undergoing assessment. This crucial first step allows us to understand the individual's specific needs and requirements. The child's school reports and any specialist reports will be requested. These sessions can be conducted in person or on zoom.
Following the initial consultation, our psychologist will confirm the most suitable assessment type. Each assessment is uniquely designed to meet individual needs, with the duration and number of appointments varying depending on the specific assessment. Fees include the consultation sessions, questionnaires, and report writing.
Testing sessions must take place in person over one or two sessions at:
1st Floor, 187 Hawthorn Rd, Caulfield North, VIC 3161.
Upon completion of the assessment, we provide a feedback session to discuss the results and reports. Our psychologist will explain the findings and outline the recommended next steps. A written report is provided after the feedback session within 1 week. Feedback sessions can be conducted in person or on zoom.
After the diagnosis, individuals and/or their families are able to access therapy sessions to learn practical strategies for managing related symptoms such as anxiety and/or depression, reduce symptoms, and improve quality of life with evidence-based treatment approaches.
A referral is not needed to access assessment services. However, if you have a mental health care plan from your G.P. in the child's name, 10 sessions of further support can be claimed under Medicare after the diagnosis.
